World’s oldest known spider dies after getting stung by a wasp. Nexter.org made a list of longest-living animals you don’t know set records but died. 

World’s oldest spider

The female trapdoor spider known as Number 16 passed away in Australia, leaving scientists who’d been studying her feeling “miserable” about her death. The world’s oldest known spider has died at the ripe old age of 43 after she was attacked by a wasp.

Oldest elephant

Lin Wang, an Asian elephant, was the oldest elephant in the Taipei Zoo. He was born in January 18, 1917, and died in February 26, 2003, at 86 years, surpassing the previous of 84. Normally, elephants live up to 50 years, while their maximum lifespan is generally estimated at 70.

Laysan albatross

A female Laysan albatross named Wisdom successfully laid an egg at Midway Atoll in December 2016, at the age of 66. As of 2017, she is the oldest known wild bird in the world.

World oldest dog

Max  was a beagle, dachshund and terrier mix. In 2009 he had veterinary records proving his age and that at 29 he was the world’s oldest living dog. However, just three days after  the Guinness World Records called him World’s oldest dog, Max died of a Tonic–clonic seizure.

Black rhino

A wild-born black rhino named Elly was the oldest in North America at an estimated 45 years of age, and resided in California’s San Francisco Zoo from April 1974 until passing in May 2017.

Oldest cat

The world’s oldest living cat, Tiffany Two (pictured) died earlier in 2015 at the age of 27 and Guinness still hasn’t verified a successor for the oldest living cat title. But 27 years is nothing compared to the oldest cat of all time, who lived to be 38.
