China promised to make changes related to US tariffs, the White House will impose tariffs on $200B more. It started when announced they would impose a 25% tariff on $50billion and  China answered with tariffs on $50 billion worth of US goods.

Also, the US decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum is severely criticized by the EU and . They promised to take countermeasures.  stated that their restrictions are the answer for the actions performed by a month ago: $50 billion worth of Chinese goods.

During the summer, both countries warned each other they would increase the tariffs. For now, the last word was said by POTUS, he promised to introduce additional tariffs in the short term for $267 billion on Chinese goods.

“Consumer goods made up only 1% of the products of the first $50 billion of imports from China subject to his announced tariffs. The rest affected intermediate inputs and capital equipment,” the economists wrote. “The explanation for this shift lies in the fact that there are fewer and fewer such supply chain elements left to target. Consumer products are much of the imports from China that were left.”

So, these 5 goods that are to be hit the hardest:

Printed circuit boards

One of the goods that are going to be hurt the hardest are printed circuit boards, not incorporating a cathode ray tube, of the machines of 8471. According to Business Insider, $11.64 billion were imported from China in 2017.

Desktop computers worth $4.48 billion were imported from China in 2017. Its tech name is “Processing units other than those of subheading 8471.41 and 8471.49”.

Metal furniture

$3.87 billion imported from China in 2017, metal furniture (o/than seats) of metal nesoi, o/than of a kind used in offices.

Computer parts and accessories

Tech name: “Parts and accessories of the ADP machines of heading 8471, not incorporating a CRT, nesoi”. Were imported from China $3.15 billion worth.

Except for metal furniture, wooden one will be also affected hard. “Furniture (o/than seats & o/than of 9402) of wooden (o/than bentwood) nesoi” – $3.01 billion were imported.
