What’s new, Diana?

“Wonder Woman 1984”, aka WW84, will premiere on November 1, 2019. The release of the movie shifted from December 2019 to avoid competing with Star Wars: Episode IX. Filming will begin this month.

Patty Jenkins will be both writer and director of the movie once again. Geoff Johns, president and chief creative officer of DC Comics, and screenwriter Dave Callaham will join her on the movie production.

The movie is a sequel to the first part, but the details about the plot remain unconfirmed.  It will take place in the 1980s. Wonder Woman is to take on the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

Steve Trevor Returns!

The main character is Wonder Woman or  Diana Prince, who will probably fight with the evil and will try to save the Earth once again. Everybody wondered whether Steve Trevor, who died in the first part during the WWII, will be back in the movie, but recently, Patty Jenkins released a photo of him in her Twitter, saying he is back in WW84.

However, we haven’t seen the actual footage of him dying, that’s why there is a little chance he’ll make comeback. Also, Trevor might be shown as a part of Diana’s flashbacks.

It also wasn’t confirmed, but the analytics predict that Cheetah will be the next Wonder Woman villain. Cheetah is the Barbara Ann Minerva incarnation that acquired her powers through the ancient ritual.

Some rumors state there might be two antagonists.

Wonder Woman will be portrayed by amazing and gorgeous . Elena Anaya stated she was ready to appear on the screen as Doctor Poison in the next movies.

The directors were now looking for the perfect actress to play the antagonist – Cheetah. And a lot of actresses (for instance, Sarah Paulson and Charlize Theron) have expressed interest in portraying the main villain in the sequel. As the rumors state, the part was offered to Emma Stone, but she refused to play the main villain.

Now Kristen Wiig is confirmed she is in for the role. We don’t know whether she agrees to play Cheetah, but she will be a perfect match for Gal Gadot.

In addition, Pedro Pascal is announced as a part of the cast, but his role remains unknown.  Game of Thrones fans know Pascal for his role as Oberyn Martell.
