Winter 2018 in PyeongChang came to the end.

In 2018 Games Norway became the country to grab 39 medals in total – 14 golb, 14 silver and 11 broze. The country tops medal table with Germany (31) and Canada (29) taking the second and third places.

Team USA took 23 medals including 9 gold.

The host nation ended the games in seventh place with 17 medals.

Historical curling victory

The U.S. men’s curling team led by John Shuster, made history on the Olympics 2018 when for the first time they won gold medal curling game.

U.S. Women’s hockey gold

U.S. women’s hockey team clinched Olympic gold against rival Canada after a dramatic 3-2 shootout victory. It’s been 20 years since the U.S. women’s team won gold.

Closing ceremony

The PyeongChang Olympics have ended with a spectacular closing ceremony attracted nearly 35,000 spectators.

It featured traditional and contemporary Korean dance, music, puppets, a giant turtle – a sacred animal in Korea – and finished with a thumping dance party for the athletes.

Major attention was focused to the unified North and Korean team, who entered the arena marching together for the second time in 17 days.

13-year-old guitarist Yang Tae-hwan played a variation on “Winter” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

The singer and rapper CL performed a track called “The Baddest Female”.

Popular group EXO closed out the program.

The Pyeongchang Games officially ended with the traditional raising of the Greek flag, the lowering of the Olympic flag and the Beijing 2022 flag handover ceremony before the Olympic flame was extinguished.

Ivanka Trump’s closing ceremony appearance

Ivanka Trump appeared at the Pyeongchang Olympic stadium and not everybody were happy about it.

On Sunday, the Team USA freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy wrote on Twitter:

“Everybody here has worked so hard to make it to the Olympics and have the opportunity to walk in the closing ceremony! Well… Everyone except Ivanka. Honestly, tf is she doing here??” he tweeted.

Ivanka posed for pictures with U.S. athletes, met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and K-pop stars, and appeared at the closing ceremony.

Twitter uses were also unsatisfied to see Ivanka representing their country without holding official position.

Also Ivanka Trump stood up and clapped alongside South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his wife as North and South Korean athletes entered the 2018 Winter Olympics’ closing ceremony.
