After the deaths of their parents, Hope Pym and her twin brother Big Man put together the supervillain team called “Revengers” and start ruling the Avengers Mansion with the help of their parents’ money and security codes.
When they successfully captured A-Next, Hope wanted to self-destruct the mansion’s and kill both A-Next and the Revengers.

Losing her mother
Her mother Janet van Dyne was lost in a subatomic spacial void called the Quantum Realm. Hope van Dyne was just seven at that time.

Relationship with father
Hope’s relationship with her father Hank Pym became distant when her mother died. Hank Pym wasn’t there for her.
“You know when my mother died I didn’t see him for two weeks?” Hope van Dyne said to Scott Lang (Ant-Man). “I was seven. And he never came back, not in any way that counted. He just sent me off to boarding school.”

In the movie, Hank Pym chose Scott Lang, a criminal recently got from prison, to help in the mission. Hope wasn’t sure they need someone to assist in the mission. She was told to train Scott Lang to fight with the Ant-Man Suit and they eventually got along.

Powers and abilities
As comics character, she has implanted bio-wings to fly and bio-electric blasters installed on the gloves on the back of her hands, and extendable claws built into her gloves. However, she can’t shrink as her mother was able to.
