Tesla just unveiled its Model Y

After months of fanfare and hype Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s newest production car, the Model Y, at the Tesla Design Center in Hawthorne, California.
And, boy, it sure looks like the Model 3. Built on the same platform as the wildly successful Model 3, the Model Y has taken the stage at Tesla’s design studio in Los Angeles.
The Model Y will be the linchpin to Tesla’s goal of delivering 1 million cars by 2020. Tesla is now allowing customers to order the Model Y online, requiring a refundable $2,500 payment, due today, to move their orders forward.
Leaked email reveals Elon Musk must approve all new Tesla hires

All hires made by Tesla must receive CEO Elon Musk’s approval, according to an email sent to Tesla recruiting employees in February.
“All headcount requests from the business must get Elon approval,” the email said. “Evidence of this sign off is required.”
The email also suggests that Tesla has introduced higher standards for hiring.
“We will be instituting a more rigorous process around requisitions and offers to help manage headcount across the business,” the email said, adding that Musk would begin receiving a daily report about recruiting.
Johnny Depp says Amber Heard cheated on him with Elon

Johnny Depp claims ex-wife Amber Heard began a relationship with Tesla founder Elon Musk “no later than one month” after their marriage in 2015.
The claims come from the 55-year-old’s defamation lawsuit against Heard, 32, in which he is seeking $50 million in damages after the Aquaman actress wrote an op-ed characterizing herself as a domestic abuse victim.
In the lawsuit obtained by PEOPLE, Depp claims Heard received “late night” visits from billionaire businessman Musk at the L.A. penthouse Depp and Heard shared while Depp was out of the country. Depp goes on to claim Musk was granted access to his home the same night Heard “presented her battered face to the public.”
Boring Company to build Las Vegas tunnel
Musk took to Twitter Tuesday to announce that his other venture, the Boring Company, plans to complete a Las Vegas tunnel by the end of 2019.
Just an hour before Musk’s tweet, Bloomberg reported that Vegas officials had voted to move ahead on talks of a Las Vegas tunnel with the Boring Company.
Whether Musk’s tweet means that a more concrete deal has been reached isn’t yet clear.
