What’s Up, Elon: Musk Drops Rap Song “RIP Harambe” on SoundCloud, Dog Mode in Tesla Car and More News
Nexter.org tells about the most interesting things and events that happened with Elon during the last seven days.
Elon Musk, SoundCloud rapper
The 47-year-old Musk seems to thrive on being weird online.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO dropped a track on SoundCloud called “RIP Harambe,” a heavily auto-tuned song about the Cincinnati Zoo gorilla whose 2016 killing launched a million memes.
Musk offered little explanation, simply tweeting “Emo G Records” and a link to the SoundCloud. It’s not clear if Musk himself is actually singing, but the SoundCloud page bears his name.
The song itself only raises more questions. Is this some kind of early April Fools’ Day prank or simply Musk’s strange attempt to bring Harambe memes back three years later?
Elon Musk email to Tesla employees to explain store closures
Elon Musk sent an email to all Tesla employees on Wednesday with details about the company’s plan for retail stores.
In February, the company blindsided many employees when it announced it would close many of its stores and shift all sales online.

In his company-wide email on Wednesday, Musk said that while all sales would be online, some customers still wanted to speak to a Tesla representative or take a test drive.
He also said that underperforming stores would be given a fair opportunity to prove they deserve to stay in business.
In his email, a copy of which was seen by Business Insider, Musk said that stores with lots of traffic would “absolutely not be closed down” but that stores with fewer sales would “gradually be closed down.”

Tesla ‘Dog Mode’
Dog Mode, which as the video below reveals, is a way to keep your dogs happy and safe while informing any passersby that everything is fine.
Dog Mode keeps the temperature comfortable for your fur-covered friends while clearly showing the car’s internal temperature on the touch-screen display alongside a note that the owner will be back soon.
Tesla changes return policy
Tesla has changed its return policy after CEO Elon Musk tweeted contradictory statements about how it works.
Buyers will now be able to return a car within seven days (or before 1,000 miles) for a full refund regardless of whether or not they have taken a test drive with the company, contrary to the language that was on the company’s website before Wednesday.
Musk tweeted Wednesday that customers can return one of Tesla’s cars after seven days for a full refund, regardless of whether they’ve gotten a test ride or demo from the company.
That claim seemingly clashed with Tesla’s official return policy, though, which clearly stated that the policy of seven-day full refunds only applies to customers who “haven’t test driven the car.”
