‘deletes’ Twitter account after bizarre video game fan art scandal

has finally “deleted” his account on the social network.

The 47-year-old Tesla CEO made his avatar pitch black, changed his display name to “Daddy DotCom” and tweeted that he had deleted his account in the wee hours of Monday morning.

On Saturday, Musk tweeted fan art of protagonist 2B from the video game Nier: Automata. He offered little in the way of context and absolutely nothing in the way of credit for artist Meli Magali, even when pressed on the issue in responses to the tweet.

This isn’t the first time Musk has gotten in trouble over uncredited artwork. He also came under fire for using an illustration of a farting unicorn last year without crediting artist Tom Edwards.

Musk eventually deleted all of his tweets on the subject.

‘Framing John DeLorean’ documentary

You might know it best as the time machine in 1985’s Back to the Future: The DeLorean was an unmistakable sports car with doors that flapped open like wings. Now, a new film starring Alec Baldwin explores the past of its automaker, who designed for the future.

“It’s got cocaine, hot chicks, sports cars, bombed-out buildings, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, FBI agents, and hard-core drug dealers.”

That dramatic description could easily be adjusted to describe and his electric car company Tesla, what with his high-profile girlfriends like Amber Heard and Grimes, that pot-smoking incident on the Joe Rogan podcast, his bizarre accusations of drug use, his fraught relationship with federal SEC officials, and, of course, plenty of cars. But comparisons to DMC also serve as a boost to Tesla’s perception and reputation.

Framing John DeLorean is out in theaters Friday.

challenges Russia’s Space chief to a rap battle

Source: TOSKY PROJECT

has threatened the head of Russia’s state space agency with a rap battle, continuing the long-running rivalry between the SpaceX CEO and the Roscosmos head.

Earlier in June, scientists in the Siberian city of Tomsk launched a figurine of Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin into space in a a toy car s in what seemed like a sarcastic reaction to SpaceX’s triumphant Falcon Heavy launch in 2018.

Musk soon took to Twitter to respond to an article about the Russians’ mock launch with his characteristically zany humor: “Don’t make me challenge you to a rap battle!”
