AI to kill us all, again
The issue connected with AI is raised again by Musk. This time, in an interview with Rolling Stone, the billionaire claimed we have only a five to 10 percent chance of success at making AI safe.
“Between Facebook, Google, and Amazon — and arguably Apple, but they seem to care about privacy — they have more information about you than you can remember,” said Musk. “There’s a lot of risk in the concentration of power. So if AGI [artificial general intelligence] represents an extreme level of power, should that be controlled by a few people at Google with no oversight?”
Tesla Semi Truck acceleration
Tesla boasts that its semi-truck can go from 0-60 MPH in five seconds flat. What’s more, the Tesla Semi, when hauling 80,000 pounds, can go from 0-60 MPH in 20 seconds.
We designed the Tesla truck to be like a bullet,” Musk said on the presentation last week.
Recently, a video of a Tesla Semi showcasing its unrivaled acceleration surfaced online.
Also, Tesla announced estimated price on its Semi website for the 300- and 500-mile versions of $150,000 and $180,000 respectively, that is less than some pundits predicted.
