Model 3 is now available to order in the UK

As promised, Tesla has officially opened the UK’s Model 3 configurator, granting access to a more affordable Tesla. Those who reserved a Model 3 previously should get their car from June 2019.
The pricing (with destination and documentation fee included) starts at £38,900 for the Partial Premium Interior model with a rear-wheel drive. The Long Range model with a dual motor and an all-wheel drive costs £47,900, and the Performance variant costs £56,900.

Billionaires Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are in a race to reinvent the internet, Mr Musk’s Starlink and Mr Bezos’ Project Kuiper promises to ensure everyone on Earth has a reliable connection by relaying data through thousands of orbiting satellites.
The battle for the next generation of satellite communications is heating up, with SpaceX being the main recipients of capital in the first quarter of 2019.
In March, Jeff Bezos’ Amazon confirmed that it would soon be a competitor in the race to achieve a working space-internet system.

Referring to Amazon’s plans to put 3,236 satellites into orbit to provide high-speed internet to any point on the globe, Blue Origin’s Vice-President Clay Mowry said: “We are bringing a huge vehicle with a lot of capability.”
But, soon after Elon Musk tweeted under MIT Tech Report’s story about Project Kuiper, tagging Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and writing “copy” followed by the cat emoji.
Tesla sued over fatal 2018 Model X crash
Last spring, Apple engineer Walter Huang aka Wei Lun Huang died in a crash when his Tesla Model X hit a median on Highway 101 in Mountain View while the car’s Autopilot driving assist was engaged.
Now ABC 7 News and NBC Bay Area reports that Huang’s family has filed a lawsuit against Tesla and the state of California.
According to ABC reporter Dan Noyes, the lawsuit claims Huang’s Model X was “defective” in its design and blames the state for not making safety repairs on a safety barrier within the required amount of time.
The most passive-aggressive confidentiality email from Tesla
Tesla emailed its employees on Thursday to caution them against leaking company information, especially to the press.
The email, which was leaked to the press, ostensibly pits Tesla and its employees against “outsiders” and those who will “do anything to see us fail.”

“As a result of our success, we will continue to see interest from people who will do anything to see us fail,” the Tesla email reads. “This includes people who are actively seeking proprietary information for their own gain, targeting Tesla employees through personal networks or on social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter.”
