Twitter Troll War with IHOP aka IHOB – Wendy’s, Burger King + 5 More Companies Throw Shade at the Rebrand

IHOP announced that it was rebranding as IHOb, the International House of Burgers and the troll war began! See most hilarious comments from restaurants regarding IHOP rebrand. 

Why IHOP changed the name? 

By rebranding its product, IHOP reminded us that it’s the best place to get pancakes, but also they are ready to introduce a new line of hamburgers that deserves attention.

Kind of a clever marketing stunt that wouldn’t cost company millions of dollars.

PR teams of other companies didn’t waste their time and started tweeting. Wendy’s, the world’s one of the largest hamburger  fast food chain, was slightly mean in its response:

Also, the company made sure it answers every comment with witty remarks:

IHOB just nicely stated, “We don’t want any beef with you. We just want to share our beef with the world.”

Chili’s Grill and Bar took part in the war and spiced up the situation by introducing their Burger “Boss”:

Burger King hasn’t commented on the rebrand of IHOB, but jokingly announced a change of name and logo on its Twitter account and Facebook profile. As we can see, it changed their name to “Pancake King” and placed pancakes on the background.

To make the situation even funnier, Burger King answered to the comments with this Taylor Swift reference.

Basically, IHOP just flopped the letter “P,” so A&W chain decided to flip its logo too.
