The U.S. is a wonderful country full of different cultures and traditions. But the funniest thing about all 50 states is a multitude of weird and funny laws. Check out the list of craziest rules from 9 states!

California and frogs

If you use any of frogs for the frog-jumping contest, California law asks you not to eat them in case they die. ‘It must be destroyed as soon as possible,’ so if you have any other plans for it, leave it behind, pervert!

Florida and ‘bad boys’

If you see a sign on your neighbor’s door saying, “Beware of Dog“, run as fast as you can as this dog is legally allowed to bite you or damage you.

By Florida law, only with a sign, the owner of the dog ‘is liable for damages suffered by persons bitten’.

Alabama and priests

In Alabama, it’s forbidden by law to dress like a priest or pretend to be the one or other member of the clergy.

For those, who dare to do it – $500 fine or confinement in the county jail for not more than one year.

Idaho and missiles

Oh, finally! Idaho is the state that forbids to throw a missile (yes, in case, you planned it) in a way that can hurt a person or damage property.

Section 2A of ordinance 639 reads, “It shall be unlawful for any person within the city limits of Rexburg, Idaho, to willfully or carelessly throw any stone, stick, snowball, egg, bomb, missile, or other substance whereby any person is hit or any window broken or any property injured or destroyed.”

Massachusetts and alcohol

Sorry, folks! You are not allowed to five a patient hospitalized for alcohol-drug problems any beverages and narcotic drugs.

The lawbreaker will be punished by $50 fine or by imprisonment for 2 months. Well, seems legit!

Kentucky and Easter

It’s illegal to sell the dyed baby chicks and rabbits on Easter unless you sell them in a quantity more than six. Sure, why not?

If you break the law, you will have to pay a fine not less than $100 nor more than $500.

South Dakota and static

In the city of Huron, you’re not allowed to cause static from 7 am to 11 pm. What about time at the night? Who knows, do whatever you want and cause as much static you can.

Texas and peeing

Do you dare to pee on the Alamo Mission in San Antonio! Choose another place to answer the call of nature: the State Capitol, the Iron Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, but NOT the Alamo.

As a punishment, you can carry a sentence of up to 18 months in jail.

New York and big cats

In NYC you can’t take photos with lions or tigers. Actually, no contact with any big cats. But with sharks, yeah, sure, you’re welcome!

Any person who violates the rule will be obliged to pay a $500-1000 fine.
