The “Spider-Man: Far From Home” trailer was released and Nexter.org has lots of things to tell you about the upcoming movie.

So, keep on reading to know more.

What the movie is about

With director Jon Watts returning behind the camera, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will be set after the events of Infinity War and its May 2019 sequel and will take the famous wall-crawler on a globe-spanning adventure.

The film, which presumably happens after “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” shows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) heading on a school vacation with his friends and classmates.

Spider-Man: Far From Home sees Peter’s plan for a peaceful European vacation with his friends ruined when Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) turns up, leading to Peter investigating the mystery of several elemental creature attacks across Europe.

I just realized I’m not playing Spider-Man.

Many of the details surrounding Jake Gyllenhaal’s role in the film — beyond the identity of the character, at least — have remained a closely guarded mystery. Apparently, that secrecy extends to Gyllenhaal himself, who used his first post on Instagram to reveal his reaction upon discovering that he was not, in fact, playing Spider-Man in the film.

In September, a series of unofficial  that found their way online near the end of September that appear to show Gyllenhaal in costume — and it’s a surprisingly elaborate costume — as the villain Mysterio.

Mysterio is the alter ego of Quentin Beck, a special effects expert who uses his talents to pull off elaborate crimes. Mysterio is considered one of Spider-Man’s most troublesome enemies, as he often makes Spider-Man question his own senses and perception of the world around him, relying more on psychological and chemical weapons than physical attacks.

Spider-Man is getting a new suit when he returns to the big screen, and a set of and video that found their way online in October offered the first look at the web-slinger’s new costume.

Does the trailer prove that Tony Stark is dead?

Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) had a small but key part in Spider-Man: Homecoming. His absence from the new trailer, combined with Happy Hogan’s “you’re all alone” line (as well as a few other small apparent ‘clues’), has led some tweeters to wonder if Robert Downey Jr’s superhero fails to make it out of Avengers: Endgame alive.

On one hand, Avengers: Endgame could very well be the end for some of our beloved Marvel superheroes.

That said, Downey Jr was never meant to be in Spider-Man: Far from Home, and “you’re all alone” could be referring to anything or anyone – it’s impossible to know the context based on a trailer.

As for some people pointing out that it was Pepper Potts instead of Tony who signed the cheque that Happy Hogan is carrying, Gwyneth Paltrow’s character is the CEO of Stark Industries.
