Cold Temperature in Europe and Eastern US Is Coming: Here’s How Weather Will Change You Plans (INFOGRAPHIC)
The Polar Vortex is now split in two.
Nexter.org explains what that means for the forecast and how it will influence your plans.
Weather forecast for the US
Nexter.org has already reported about the polar vortex that is moving to US and Canada.
Th latest news says it has split in two and is likely to result in cold temperatures in Europe and in the eastern U.S.
One vortex is now over western Canada and another over Europe. The reason is that across the Arctic, where the polar vortex typically stays locked, the stratosphere has warmed.
That split may sound ominous, portending that arctic cold conditions are on the way.
But it’s not that simple. In fact, the extended range forecast into that latter part of February calls for warmer-than-average temperatures across the eastern states.

The disruption of the polar vortex will lead to an outbreak of colder weather, just not in the eastern United States, at least initially.
Forecasters at The Weather Company, an IBM Business, tweeted that they have high confidence that a cold weather pattern will grip Europe at the end of February and the start of March.
Sorry for the bad news if you have a European trip planned.
