Titan – place of origin

Thanos first appeared in Iron Man #55 (1973), featuring a story written by Jim Starlin and Mike Friedrich.

The story of Thanos begins with the moon of Saturn – Titan. Eternals have been living there for a long time.

He was a child of two Eternals Mentor and Sui-San. During the childhood years, Thanos didn’t have a lot of friends because of his origin, but then some kids noticed that he’s interesting and smart boy.

Unfortunately, one accident made Thanos lose his friends: they went to the cave and got killed by local animals.

After this, Thanos left school.

His own mother tried to kill him

At birth, his mother, Sui-San, was shocked by his appearance and stated he was a pure evil. She tried to kill him, but Mentor stopped her.

Then, she was placed in a psychiatric hospital and missed the childhood of Thanos. The scene of the mother attempting to kill him haunted Thanos in the nightmares for years.

The main character of “Avengers: Infinity War”

Kevin Feige states that Thanos is going to be the main character of the movie, but not the Avengers.

It’s simple to explain as Thanos is nothing like all other antagonists of the universe. He is extremely clever, his plans are well-elaborated and he pursues global goals.

Controversial antagonist

Thanos was obsessed with science and started to dissect animals. He explained his desire to kill more for the benefit of science.

However, everything becomes clear when he kills the human couple.

Having killed 17 people and his own mother on Titan, he went on an adventure to find the answers about his origin.

He made love to a lot of women, they born children from him, but they were completely healthy and didn’t carry the Deviant gene.

To learn more, Thanos joined the team of space pirates to conquer planets, but he promised himself not to kill anyone.
