Tesla Model 3 Is Just One Piece of Trash? Read Why Musk’s Company Is to Face Lawsuit
In Q4 2017 Tesla made 2,425 Model 3s, and it announced the plan to make 2,500 weekly by end of Q1 2018.
As it turned out, making more doesn’t mean making high-quality products.

Elon Musk’s plan
Bloomberg estimated the number of Tesla manufactured so far: 8,006 Model.
The company is now building approximately 1,052 a week, not 2,500 as it was promised.

Also, we can see from the statistics, that the initial Tesla target to build 5,000 cars reduced to 2,500 in half a year.

In 2017, the Tesla net loss was $ 2.2 billion, but this year the company expects to increase the income.
Probably, they decided to sell defective cars to achieve their goals and make the plan.
Owners’ reviews
One of the owners claims that after two weeks of using his Model 3 broke. One morning he found that the apps did not receive any updates for several hours.
He came to the garage, where he saw that Model 3 did not show any signs of life. He recorded the video with unsuccessful attempts to wake up Musk’s child.
Meanwhile, Brian Gluckman has posted a series of tweets about various Tesla Model 3 defects he faced during the car test.
Brian claims that he has been working on quality control for cars for about 15 years, and what he saw in Model 3 surprised him in a very unpleasant way.
Just saw my first Tesla Model 3 up close and in-person. Having spent 15 years off and on in the automotive quality space, this is…not good. pic.twitter.com/DKWJ0JXvNG

Among the defects found, Bryan lists large gaps in the joints of the body panels, problems with leather, and a damaged plastic panel under the hood.
Also, he mentions the awful design of the center console – the lid is very poorly closed and often opens itself, the inner door handles that are poorly processed and look “cheap”.
Panel gaps are a problem on this car, full stop. pic.twitter.com/y3iX5bStCc

In addition, some places, edges, and corners of panels, are painted poorly. Gluckman adds photos as a proof of every complaint.
The paint is not good. In places, you can see where it ran and pooled at the edges and corners of panels. In other places, paint is chipped. pic.twitter.com/P2x45PzKxp

Also, the trunk is unpainted and unfinished metal, with a weird fabric screen that seems only designed to let road noise into the cabin. pic.twitter.com/EvgqvY3LBP

The center console is hard to close–if you close it too hard, it snaps back open. This is bad design. pic.twitter.com/L81or1frmy

He’s not the only one to complain about the gaps between panels:
Here’s the standard of fit found on a 2017 Model S. Lots more build issues, too. pic.twitter.com/4n6rtDlbU9

Elon Musk and Tesla spokesmen haven’t commented on the issue.
Lawsuit
Adam Williams had been working in Tesla since 2011. The reason he left the company is that Williams tried to talk about the defected cars with his boss.
He, as a plaintiff, claims that he saw how the company hides from the customers the fact of various car defects before selling.
Everyone knows that the repair of Tesla is extremely expensive service.
