5G

2019 will be a year of 5G and it will start at . They will announce what 5G can do, besides making smartphones faster. It will be battery-operated remote sensors, more secure smart-home devices, and reliable telehealth apps. Sounds great, isn’t it?

And even though the transition to 5G will require more than just turning on your 5G modem, the world is pretty excited about it.

TVs go to 8K

Smart TVs are always a hot topic at and if there is something most of the consumers will definitely be happy about is more pixels. That is why they talked about 8K so much at 2019. And even though 7,680 x 4,320 resolution is a visual absurdity, 8K will come eventually.

Laptops get more compact

Once, people thought that phones and tablets are “laptop killers” but those days are far gone. Laptops continue to evolve and this is what is gonna change in 2019.

They will stop using Intel and x86 chip architecture. Qualcomm’s 8cx chip that was introduced this December will most likely appear in real products. We are to expect a great shift toward ARM-based chips as well as Apple MacBook with a mobile chip very soon.
