Even shopping is not safe nowadays

At least 10 stores in US were victims of attacks that occurred from January 2017 until now. Many of security breaches were caused by flaws in payment systems, either online or in stores.

Usually  steel customers’ credit and debit cards information, expiration dates, personal information, including names, addresses and even data about your health.

Thus, Under Armour confirmed in March that data from its MyFitnessPal app was accessed by an “unauthorized party.”

Personal data of about 150 million users of the app for calculating the calories “MyFitnessPal” were stolen by but payment information was not released, according to the company.

Another huge leak happened with Panera Bread as it confirmed on April 2. Personal information, including names, addresses, and partial credit card numbers may have leaked, though the company says the investigation continues.

Information about 37 million people could have been leaked according to an estimate. One more major data breach was reported by Sonic.

Credit cards from 5 million customers may have been stolen, as most of the chains more than 3,600 locations use the same payment system.
