Toxic fume emission

In 1994, Gloria Ramirez was treated in the hospital as she had cervical cancer. When the members of medical staff tried to draw blood, they passed out due to the strange smells of garlic and ammonia. 

A HAZMAT team was asked to come and decontaminate the room. “It sounds to me like the people in the emergency room were exposed to some sort of volatile toxin,”  says Jane Orient, M.D., executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeon.

It still a mystery what actually happened to the fuming woman before entering the hospital.

Known as “Dance Plague,” this bizarre event left an unsolved mystery in the course of history. On one day of 1518, the woman came to the street and started dancing. She was joined by almost all the residents of the village.

All of them were dancing unceasingly until they died because of exhaustion and starvation. The scientists believe that it might have been caused by mass hysteria or poisoned food.

Spontaneous human combustion

Spontaneous human combustion is the fire randomly arise without any source of ignition.

Polonus Vorstius was the first one to die this way (recorded in history), “Apparently, the hapless (and soon headless) horseman enjoyed a few glasses of strong wine at his home in Milan in 1470, and then began to belch fire. Then, the story goes, he proceeded to burst into flames and die, in front of his horrified parents.”

Most bizarre and mysterious way of dying – it still isn’t investigated fully, however, some of the causes are already known: alcohol consumption, melted fats, overlooked external sources of ignition.
