Snapchat Scandals: 3 Things You Might Have Missed

Snapchat went down this week, however, they manage to cope with that and surprise nice with the new update. Get to know what’s new has happened to Snapchat this week.

1. Snapchat to get a new look

Evan Spiegel, Snap CEO, reports they are planning to present a completely new design on December 4. It’s rumored Snapchat may change its system making it similar to the Facebook way of showing content.

The users will be still able to use the camera and communicate with friends. The developers just want to make it more user-friendly through interface major changes.

We all open to the new features of Snapchat, however, it’s still unknown how these updates will influence Snap’s partners.

2. 24-year-old Californian use Snapchat to exploit kids

Snapchat is especially popular among children that’s why a great deal of pedophiles are using this app to obtain child pornography.

The plan is quite simple: a person pretends to be a young and attractive woman and send nudes to little boys. They upload the sex video of themselves and send it to these so-called “predators”.

There were a bunch of cases opened due to the pedophiles’ activity on social networks. For instance, a 28-year-old woman regularly used Snapchat to show her 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter for money.

Other case happened in Illinois: 13-year-old boy sent his video with pornographic content to a woman. who turned out to be 24-year-old man.

3. Snapchat’s spectacles cost $40 million

The fact that Snapchat’s spectacles were nothing but the fiasco. But this week we learned this ‘genius’ invention took over $40 million to produce video-recording glasses.

The goal was to let the person record the environment and make memories just like in the one episode of “Black Mirror”. Unfortunately, the quality of the video was really awful and didn’t meet the expectations of the users.

It’s good that Snapchat goes beyond the status of the social network, however, they need a lot of time and effort to get success in merchandise.
