“It’s Going to Get Darker”: Facts About Season 3, Wildest ‘Stranger Things’ Fan Theories and More
Stranger Things Season 3 to be! The next episodes aren’t to be released until 2019, but here’s what Nexter.org already knows about the popular Netflix series so far.
Kids’ growing up and puberty
The Duffer Brothers, the directors and producers of Stranger Things series suggested that the new season will show kids facing puberty and teenage difficulties.
“Even if we didn’t want to deal with [puberty], we have to deal with it because our real-life actors are going through it. I think that’s exciting because it forces the show to evolve and become something different every year,” they told Entertainment Weekly.

Joyce-Hopper romance hint from Millie Bobby Brown
Millie Bobby Brown was talking to the publisher at an Emmy nomination event and shared that she was waiting for a love story between Hopper, and Will’s mum, Joyce.
“Listen, I would love for them to get together. Jopper is like my inspiration in life,” she said.
“Winona Ryder and David Harbour are like my parents. On set, they’re like, ‘Stop running, what are you eating, why are you eating that?’ David is like, ‘Another boy?’ And in the show, if they rekindle, that means Will and Eleven will be step-siblings. I would love that because Noah [Schnapp] is my boy best friend.”
Also, David Harbour hinted there might be something going on between their characters:
“It’s the summer of love in Hawkins, Indiana,” he said. “It’s a really fun season where you’re gonna get to see these characters experience summer in Indiana, and there’s this sense of new relationships. It’s sort of a big celebration of love. That’s all I can say.”

Upside Down is actually the future
According to the theory created by fans, Upside Down is actually the future after the US government drops an atomic bomb on Hawkins and the sinister Demogorgon is capable of traveling through time, and, accordingly, Eleven just predicts future every time he appears.
David Harbor admitted that the Upside Down is ‘a reflection of Hawkins,’ but he didn’t say anything about the possible futuristic aspect of the pararel world.
Steve serving ice cream pleased the fans
To create the mood of the third season, Netflix released the teaser with the words “Something is coming…to Hawkins, Indiana!”
Something good, indeed, considering Steve’s “ahoyee” outfit and all the ice cream serving.
Also, we had a chance to meet a new character, Robin (Maya Hawke), that’s supposedly Steve’s new crush after Nancy broke his heart chose Jonathan.
“It’s going to be darker”
Millie Bobby Brown also hinted about the atmosphere on the set of the third season: “It’s definitely going to get darker.”
“I think Eleven should sacrifice herself in some way,” she said at Q&A hosted by MTV’s Josh Horowitz. “That’s how I kind of want that situation to go. I want to have her really sacrifice her powers.
“If Eleven loses her powers, is she as powerful just as a character? I think that would be very cool. I want to build her to be a strong person without her powers…But right now it’s very about her powers and I think taking that away slowly could be cool.”
Steve – the real father of Jean Ralphio from Parks and Recreation
Source: Netflix
Probably the wildest fans theory is that Steve Keeney might just be the real father of Jean Ralphio from Parks and Recreation. Yeah, they look alike, but nothing really can support this theory.
David Harbour actually addresses this question in his recent video with Vanity Fair. You can watch it here.
Real-life Stranger Things maze
All the promos, fan videos, trailer, teaser and many more ways to warm up the audience before the upcoming season have already been used. But a giant corn maze! That’s is definitely something new on the advertising market.
Created by Exploration Acres, home to the largest annually planted corn maze in Indiana, the maze sprawls across 20 acres, reported first by Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR. And the series is also set in Indiana, Hawkins! What a nice “coincidence”!

“After binge-watching the entire Stranger Things series last year, I knew we had a unique opportunity to create an immersive environment for fans at our farm,” Tim Fitzgerald, president and CEO of Exploration Acres, told WTHR.
