DC’s streaming service
DC announced that its streaming service, DC Universe, that is to be launched this fall, and the company has released a trailer of “Titans” (see below) and stated they would release 2 more live-action shows (Swamp Thing and Doom Patrol) and 2 animated shows (Harley Quinn and Young Justice: Outsiders).
As we all know, it’s not enough for the streaming service to sell only content made by other companies, that’s why DC, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, is to produce five original shows to the platform.
New live-action show “Titans”
Teen Titans, the cartoon version of the upcoming live-action, is kinder and more cheerful, but it’s obvious as it was made for kids and teens. On the contrary, the live-action is darker and resembles the sequel of some kind of a superhero horror.
Titans seem to be the only way DC Universe can survive as the well-known counterpart of the superhero movie distributor, Marvel Studios, is also about to release horror movie about teen mutants entitled “The New Mutants”.
