468

On February 10th Samsung will reveal all the information about the new Galaxy S10 phone. But as it usually happens a lot of things has already leaked. So, will Samsung be as powerful as iPhone? Keep on reading to find out.

Nexter.org compared both phones in 5 different categories.

Design: notch vs punch hole

The iPhone XS has an attractive design completed with a stainless-steel band and a durable glass body. Everything is great except that distracting notch at the top of the screen for the TrueDepth camera.

The Galaxy S10 will create even slimmer bezels this time by using Samsung’s new Infinity-O display. There will be a punch hole for the front-facing camera near the top right corner of the screen, which looks pretty subtle but this double-wide hole for the dual front cameras doesn’t look so good.

Display

The Galaxy S10 is rumored to have a bigger screen with a 6.1-inch display than the iPhone XS, which has 5.8 inches. Also, it will have a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels compared to iPhone’s 2436 x 1125 pixels.

Cameras

This is where we can definitely say that wins for sure. Yes, there were some cool things in Galaxy S9, but the quality of the images didn’t measure up to iPhone XS.

It’s likely that Samsung will add a Bright Night feature and AI Scene Optimizer technology but will it beat iPhone XS? We are not sure about that.

Battery

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ beat the iPhone XS and XS Max on battery life, and we do not think it will change. The iPhone XS lasted for 9 hours and 41 minutes on Tom’s Guide Battery Test when Galaxy S9 made it to 10:52.

Rumors say that the Galaxy S10 will have an even bigger battery – 3,300 mAh (S9 has 3,000 mAh.

Security

has its Face ID, which is easy to use and quite difficult to fool.

But Samsung also has something interesting in store. And it is a fingerprint sensor underneath the display which uses Qualcomm’s ultrasonic technology. In case it works good, people will be able to unlock their phones not only faster but not even looking at the device.

Which team are you in? iPhone or Samsung?
