Students and faculty return to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School two weeks since Nikolas Cruz opened fire and killed 17 people.

These two weeks were tough days full of mourning and organizing to fight for increased gun control.

In wake of the traumatic event, the school’s principal, Ty Thompson, thought some therapy dogs would help provide extra comfort upon return, and the photographs are pretty precious.

Emotional therapy dogs have been helping traumatized pupils to feel safer and get back into their school routine.

In general, 27 furry puppies have been sent to the school.

Nine of the dogs are from Lutheran Church Charities in Illinois and have reportedly been a big hit with the students.

Students posted many photos on social media sites, sharing their emotions and thanks.
