2019 Academy Awards ceremony will honor the best films of the year at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The Oscars ceremony will be held on February 24, 2019.

In a nutshell

The 91st Academy Awards nominees were announced by TV stars Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross.

The Favourite and Roma had 10 nominations including Best Picture. Also, superhero action movie “Black Panther” was nominated for this category.

The four categories to be cut from the live broadcast would be Cinematography, Editing, Live-Action Short, and and Hairstyling.

The Oscars 2019 will take place on February 24 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC without a host, however, there will be a number of music performances:

  • Bette Midler performing “The Place Where Lost Things Go” from Mary Poppins Returns.
  • Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performing “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.
  • Jennifer Hudson singing “I’ll Fight” from RBG.

How to watch the live stream

ABC’s red carpet coverage will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET. If you don’t have TV, you can live stream it through ABC Go or on the ABC app.

YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue, and DirecTV Now all carry ABC, so you can sign up for a 7-day free trial and watch Oscars 2019. You can always cancel the subscription after the ceremony.
