Brilliant 90s
Everything comes back every 20-30 years, and this series isn’t an exception. For sure, it’s hard to show the generations as it was, but let’s give Ben York Jones, the creator, a chance.
The story deals with school drama and relationship intrigues that are so inherent for the teenage years.

Stranger Things-ish series
While “Stranger Things” is about the 80s, this TV-show shows the times 10 years later. The problems remain the same.
The first love, first real friends, first betrayal… Even the child-parent problem is the center of “Everything Sucks!”
However, this series doesn’t feature the horror or mystic elements.

Same nerdy kids we so love
The series set in the boring town of Boring (not made up, btw), Oregon, the story shows two groups of nerdy kids – the A/V Club and the Drama Club.

Cast
The actors of “Everything Sucks!” by all means are the new faces of Netflix. Most unlikely, that you’ve seen them somewhere on the TV before.
However, one of the main character, Kate Messner (Peyton Kennedy) has taken part in such projects as The Captive (2014), American Fable (2016), and Lavender (2016).
How well the actors were chosen for their roles, we will see in February.
