Nexter Movie News: ‘The Dead Don’t Die’, ‘MIB: International’, ‘Murder Mystery’ Premieres, Creepy trailer For ‘Doctor Sleep’ + More

545 prepared for you a weekly dose of new movie releases, fresh trailers and announcements you might have missed this week.

“Men in Black: International” premiere

Men In Black: International centers on a woman named Molly (Tessa Thompson), who has an unusual experience in her youth that leads her on a lifelong journey to discover the secret organization known as the Men In Black. She eventually finds what she’s looking for and manages to talk her way into a trial run with the agency.

Things get interesting quick when she’s put on a seemingly straightforward case with hot-shot agent H (Chris Hemsworth). But things take a bad turn that puts the Earth in peril. What’s more, there may be a mole in the Men in Black.

“The Dead Don’t Die” premiere

The director of the hits “Dead Man” and “Only Lovers Left Alive” Jim Jarmusch shot a zombie comedy that opened the Cannes Film Festival-2019. The film divided the audience into two – some really liked it, and some hated it.

The plot of the movie follows a small town’s police officers as they fight with an unexpected zombie invasion.

The Dead Don’t Die cast includes Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Austin Butler, RZA, Tilda Swinton, Tom Waits, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, and Carol Kane.

“Murder Mystery” premiere

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler chase a killer — and Netflix success — in this middling Monaco-set action-comedy.

The married couple on their first vacation to Europe meets tycoon Malcolm Quince (an imperious Terence Stamp) who saunters into the ballroom of his yacht to announce that he’s disinheriting all of his guests, and is promptly stabbed to death. Of course, the local French inspector pins the assassination on Sandler and Aniston’s Nick and Audrey Spitz.

“Frozen 2” first trailer

It’s been six years since the first movie. Now, Disney released its first official trailer that reunites the gang from the original Frozen, including sisters Anna and Elsa, snowman Olaf, and all-around-ice-guy Sven.

It seems that Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf will be traveling “north, across the enchanted lands,” to protect Arendelle from some unknown threat — perhaps the source of the strange pink fire seen in the trailers or the newly revealed stone giants seen lumbering around.

“Doctor Sleep” trailer

The Shining is one of Stephen King’s most famous books and Stanley Kubrick’s best known movies, and the new trailer for Doctor Sleep pays homage to both of those seminal works.

Doctor Sleep, based on King’s 2013 sequel to The Shining, follows the story of a grown-up Danny Torrance still dealing with the effects of his traumatic childhood stay at the Overlook Hotel, and the trailer flashes back to some of the movie’s iconic scenes — creepy twins, bathtub ladies, “Here’s Johnny” and all.

Doctor Sleep hits theaters Nov. 8, 2019.

“The Good Place” ends after 4th season

The announcement was made Friday night by series creator Mike Schur (who’s also responsible for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks & Rec). He shared a statement to Twitter, in which he says, “Making this show is a rare, creatively fulfilling joy, and at the end of the day, we don’t want to tread water just because the water is so warm and pleasant.”

“Love, Death and Robots” season 2

Netflix announced that its animated anthology series ‘Love, Death and Robots’ will get second season however with another director – Jennifer Yuh Nelson, best known for her work as a director on the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Netflix has yet to provide a release date or other details for season two of Love, Death and Robots.
