Netflix just unveiled animated films, series, and shows so Nexter.org found out what they are going to be about and interesting details about the upcoming Netflix movies.

Netflix, the streaming company, announced a four-year plan for upcoming animated series, which brings it more in line with traditional animation studios like Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks. Because the lead time on animated projects is so lengthy, most of the big studios publicize their release plans years in advance.

“The programming is designed to meet the tastes of every member of the family — from preschoolers to kids to parents and their children together so that families everywhere can find something that fits their unique DNA,” Netflix’s press release says.

These new shows and films join a wider list of already-announced productions that include Jacob and the Sea Beast (2022), a CG film written by Chris Williams (Moana, Big Hero 6, Bolt), Klaus (2019); a 2D movie written by Sergio Pablos (Despicable Me); Mighty Little Bheem (2019), a preschool series coming from Rajiv Chilaka (Chhota Bheem); and Pinocchio (2021), an animated film by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water).

Maya and The Three (2021) an animated series about a warrior princess where Jeff Ranjo (Moana) is the head of the . Set in a mythical Mesoamerican-inspired world, where a warrior princess embarks on a quest to recruit three legendary fighters to help save the world of men and gods. My Father’s Dragon (2021), a 2D animated movie written by Meg LeFauve (Inside Out). It tells the of a young run-away Elmer Elevator, who searches for a captive dragon on a wild island, but finds way more than he could have ever anticipated.

Speaking about this achievement, director Nora Twomey said: “To have the kind of creative encouragement Netflix are providing is an incredible opportunity for our filmmaking team. We are all so excited to bind our skills together and begin My Father’s Dragon.”

Go! Go! Cory Carson (2019), an animated show based on toys for preschoolers, with Alex Woo (Wall-E, Ratatouille) and Stanley Moore (Finding Dory, Monsters University) acting as executive producers. It follows the adventures of kid car Cory Carson as he navigates the winding roads of childhood in Bumperton Hills.

Kid Cosmic (2020), a show produced by Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends) where a child has his dream of becoming a superhero come true; A young boy who dreams of becoming a hero gets his wish, but being a hero is far more complicated than he realized.

Trash Truck (2020), an animated series executive produced by Glen Keane (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast) where a kid with an overactive imagination has a trash truck as a best friend;

The Willoughbys (2020), a stylized film written by Kris Pearn (Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2) where abandoned children have to adapt to the modern world. When the four Willoughby children are abandoned by their selfish parents, they must learn how to adapt to the contemporary world. Based on the book by Newbery Award-winning author, Lois Lowry. Starring Ricky Gervais, Maya Rudolph, Will Forte, Martin Short, Alessia Cara and Jane Krakowski.
