Breaking up is always hard. Since Great Britain voted for leaving the European Union, the whole nation is depressed. Prime Minister Theresa May called “the sad reality of modern life” for too many people. And the only answer is to appoint… the Minister of Loneliness!
According to the last year research, nearly nine million people in the country either often, or always, feel loneliness.
“It’s proven to be worse for health than smoking 15 cigarettes a day,” Mark Robinson, head of Age UK, Britain’s largest nonprofit working with older people, told the Times.
Unfortunately, there is still no information what will be first steps for fighting the loneliness in the UK.

Minister of Happiness
Britain is not the only country which cares about the people. Thus, in 2016 the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) created a new cabinet position – the Minister of State for Happiness.
“National happiness isn’t a wish. Plans, projects, programmes, indices will inform the work of our ministries to achieve happiness,” UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote on his official Twitter page.
Vice Ministry of Supreme Social Happiness
In 2013, even earlier than UAE, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro created a “Vice Ministry of Supreme Social Happiness”, to coordinate all of the country’s poverty alleviation programmes, the Washington Post reported.

Minister Of Yoga
In 2014, newly-elected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi established a new ministry to promote alternative therapies and traditional medicine, called the “Ministry for Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy” (AYUSH).

In Japan, Minister for Women’s Empowerment Haruko Arimura also has an unofficial title to her name: “Minister of Toilets”. According to Japan Today, the title came about due to her belief that improving restroom facilities and public toilets were pivotal towards women’s advancement.
