Yoga

Royal reporter Katie Nicholl toldEntertainment Tonight that Duchess of Sussex “hasn’t been in any hurry to get back in shape.”

“Before she fell pregnant, you know, Meghan was very fit,” Nicholl added. “She was very into her fitness regime. She used to run around the park in Kensington, but she has been taking it easy. And I hear that yoga is very much on her postbirth fitness regime—nothing too strenuous.”

Since 7 years old, Meghan was doing this with her yoga teacher mum, Doria Ragland, however, she didn’t think that it was her thing.

“I was very resistant as a kid, but she said, ‘Flower, you will find your practice – just give it time,” Meghan told Best Health. It turned out that it’s her thing!

She added that she’s doing yoga “a couple times a week – hot yoga, specifically — with [teacher] Duncan Parviainen. He is so positive and, especially in my industry, it’s so important to surround yourself with people who are grounded and really optimistic.”

Some say that Duchess and her husband are working on a yoga office in the Frogmore House on Windsor Estate.

Running

As we mentioned before, the former actress used to run around the park in Kensington.

“I love to run. It’s sorta my thing — as much for my head as my body,” she states. Though when her filming schedule got more hectic, she had to cut back: “I used to run all the time, but I typically get picked up for work at 4.15 in the morning on a Monday, so there isn’t much time for jogging and I would rather have that extra hour of sleep.”

Meghan adds: “As I’m getting older, my approach to aging is quite different. I make sure that I take care of my skin and body, especially with the work hours I have. And I don’t just take care of myself for aesthetic reasons, but because how I feel is dictated by what I’m eating, how much rest I’m getting and how much water I’m drinking. If I don’t have time for a long workout, I’ll grab my dog and go for a quick run. Being active is my own moving meditation.

Pilates

Meghan used to got to LA studio Pilates Platinum and stated that it was the best thing for her body.

“You keep coming back for several reasons: First off, your body changes immediately… give it two classes and you will see a difference; second, Heather is amazing — as an instructor, as a friend, she is inspiring in every way; lastly, the people in class are cool, unpretentious and motivating.”

“Little 15-minute increments”

Surely, such a busy person as Meghan Markle struggles to find time for a workout, so she had to look for an alternative.

She uses Tracy Anderson’s online workouts and “little 15-minute increments”. “Just find those little bits of time that help, and at the end of the day, you’ve had a full workout.”
