Marcia Cross

The former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Marcia Cross posted in her Instagram a letter to fans saying she is “happy” to be healthy again after undergoing treatment for anal cancer.

Redheaded actress regretted her hair loss and later explained that she is in recovery from cancer.

“So grateful and happy to be alive but sad that my hair fell out and is about 1 inch long now and looks cra cra,” Cross, 56, wrote. “Anyone else have #hairloss due to #cancer? Talk to me. I feel you.”

Cross, who recently played the President of the United States on Quantico,said that she was amazed by everyone’s well-wishes.

Mark Ruffalo

In 2001 ‘Hulk’ star Mark Ruffalo found out that he has a brain tumor. His wife was pregnant at the time, so he waited to make a public announcement until a week after his son’s birth.

Ruffalo had successful surgery to remove the tumor. Ruffalo told The Guardian, “The whole experience of getting close to mortality changed my perspective. After the brain tumor happened, I realized I love acting, I’ve always loved it, I may never get a chance to do it again.”

Hugh Jackman

In 2013, Hugh Jackman discovered Basal Cell Carcinoma on his nose, and since then he’s had several procedures for skin cancer. Jackman now gets checked every three months.

Kathy Bates

Award-winning actress Kathy Bates was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2012. She underwent a double mastectomy, from which she also developed lymphedema, a swelling in the body’s extremities. Although there’s no cure for lymphedema, physical therapy and weight loss have helped her drastically with the side effects.

Ben Stiller

In 2016, the famous actor unveiled that he survived prostate cancer. Stiller was diagnosed in June 2014 when he was 48 and told Today he is “really fortunate that my course of treatment was basically an operation and that was it.”

Shannen Doherty

In 2012 Doherty told ‘People’ she is battling breast cancer. The actress, who is best known for her roles on the hit ’90s TV show ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and later, ‘Charmed’ announced in April 2017 that she was in remission.
