KEY Things You Might Have Missed in New ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ Trailer #2
The last X-Men movie by 20th Century Fox called Dark Phoenix is to hit the theaters on June 7, so the creators started teasing us with new posters and trailer for the upcoming movie.Â
Nexter.org gathered all the references and Easter eggs from the last trailer. See if you’re attentive enough to notice them!
Jessica Chastain might play Cassandra Nova or Deathbird
Chastain on the interview with Fallon briefly talked about her upcoming villain role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix: “I play this character from another world, and I come to Earth because miss Jean Grey has a power I want to harness for my own uses.”
“I get to beat up a lot of X-Men in the movie, and maybe kill some?” Chastain continued. “I didn’t say I definitely do. Maybe someone lives, maybe someone dies? It’s an intense movie.”
All we know for know is that Chastain’s character is an alien that wants to use Phoenix’s power and thinks that she’s doing something good by taking Grey to her planet.
People are discussing all over the Internet that Jessica Chastain might be Deathbird or Cassandra Nova.
Both of them are a telepath and can connect to Xavier and Grey from far away.

Dark Phoenix’s power is stronger than Magneto’s helmet
Magneto’s Helmet is specially designed to protect him from all forms of telepathy, including Grey’s psychic powers.

However, in the trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix, we see that Jean is successfully breaking the helmet protection with her enormous powers.
Taking into account that the most powerful psychic on Earth, Professor X, can’t get through Magneto, it can mean only that Grey’s force is vicious.

It’s quite clear that they are the villains as they appear on the side of Magneto and Jessica Chastain’s character on the poster.

Mystique might be killed by Jean Grey
Even though Chastain claimed that her character might kill one of the X-Men, however, the whole idea of the movie can be that Jean Grey accidentally murders one of the X-Men.

YouTuber Emergency Awesome supposes that it must be Mystique as when the funeral is shown in the trailer we don’t see her anywhere and everyone else is so pissed off and miserable.
And, in fact, it’s the last X-Men movie made by 20th Century Fox, so it has to be an important character killed in the series.

Massive gun attack by MagnetoÂ
The trailer stuns us with the marvelous footage of Magneto using all the guns in the room with his powers against Dark Phoenix.
The attentive ones might have noticed that it’s a reference to the very first movie featuring Magneto – X-Men (2000).
Ian McKellen’s character takes all policemen’s guns and uses against them.
