The international group of archaeologists discovered the jaw of a Homo Sapiens in the cave Misliya, who lived about 200,000 years ago, which is 60,000 years earlier than we thought.

Check out other discoveries on Nexter.org that changed the history of humanity.

Israeli Jaw Fossil

Scientists confirmed that the jaw fossil is dated between 177,000 to 194,000 years old using three different methods, the Verge stated.

If it’s true, this makes tens of thousands years “shift” of the date of the emergence of modern people and their migration from Africa.

In addition to the fragment of the skull, the archaeologists found tools and evidence that people made fire in the cave.

Boris Johnson’s ancestor

DNA tests showed that the found remains of the woman’s body in the Basel church is Boris Johnson’s ancestors – Anna Catharina Bischoff.

Using modern methods, scientists were able to extract DNA material from the thumb on the foot of the mummy.

The result showed that the descendant Bischoff and the mummy found are relatives with a probability of 99.8%.

And Boris Johnson is descendant of the Bischoff line, the Guardian reports.

‘Dali skull’ from China

Most modern anthropologists believe that our species appeared in Africa about 200 thousand years ago, then ago settled around the world.

However, scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Texas investigated the skull found 40 years ago in the Celestial Empire and doubted the theory.

The skull belonged to the representative of Homo Erectus. It was found in good condition, but the owner of remains lived about 260 thousand years ago.

In this case, Dali has a similarity with Homo Sapiens. And a new study suggests that this similarity may be much stronger than anticipated and, thus, rewrite the timeline of human history.
