got stuck in the gender pay gap and the latest news about Netflix “The Crown” star Claire Foy, unfortunately, proves it.

Keep on reading to know more.

Claire Foy

The actress who plays Queen Elizabeth on Netflix’s The Crown – Claire Foy – earned less than her male counterpart  – Matt Smith, who played her husband, Prince Philip during the first two seasons.

According to Vanity Fair, “the producers acknowledged that [Smith] did make more due to his ‘Doctor Who’ fame, but that they would rectify that for the future.”

“Going forward, no one gets paid more than the queen,” added producer Suzanne Mackie.

Michelle Williams

Also, latest story was connected with All The Money in the World movie that needed to complete reshoots with actor Christopher Plummer due to Kevin Spacey allegations of sexual misconduct.

While director Ridley Scott initially told The Guardian newspaper that all actors involved did the reshoots for free, it came to light that actor Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5m for the extra work, while his co-star Michelle Williams was paid just $1,000 – a 1500th of what he had been paid.

Michelle Williams appears in a similar amount of scenes as Wahlberg (maybe slightly less, but not by a factor of 1500) and she’s been nominated for four Academy Awards, while Wahlberg has been nominated twice.

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams

It was leaked during the Sony hack in 2014 that the two actresses in the David O. Russell film “American Hustle” were paid less than their male counterparts.

Lawrence was already an Oscar winner, while Adams had been nominated for an Oscar four times.

The duo reportedly earned 7 percent of the back-end profits (aka, royalties) from the film compared to the 9 percent male co-stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner earned.

Robin Wright

Robin Wright and Kevin Spacey plaid the power couple in Netflix’s “House of Cards,” but unfortunately, the two didn’t initially share the same salaries.

According to Business Insider, Spacey earned $500,000 per episode in 2014, while Wright earned $420,000.

In 2016, Wright demanded equal pay.

“I was like, ‘I want to be paid the same as Kevin,’” she said. “I was looking at the statistics and Claire Underwood’s character was more popular than [Frank’s] for a period of time. So I capitalized on it. I was like, ‘You better pay me or I’m going to go public.’”

Gillian Anderson

The reboot of the classic 90s sci-fi series The X-Files, it went public that Gillian Anderson who plays one of the main characters was offered by US broadcaster Fox only a half of David Duchovny’s salary to return to the role of Dana Scully.

She subsequently threatened to walk away from the project unless she and her co-star were paid equally.

Charlize Theron

Sony hacks opened one more pay gap secret – Oscar winner Charlize Theron had negotiated her salary to match her co-star Chris Hemsworth after finding out that he would be making more than $10 million.

“I have to give them credit because once I asked, they said yes. They did not fight it. And maybe that’s the message: that we just need to put our foot down,” Theron told Elle UK in the summer of 2015.

Angelina Jolie

Remember iconic “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” film? Guess you’ll be surprised to know that despite both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were at the height of their star power, their salaries revealed otherwise.

While Pitt made roughly $20 million for his role, Jolie only made half of that.
