HBO Hid 6 Iron Thrones Worldwide to Promote GOT Season 8 – And You Still Have a Chance To Discover the Last One!

While Game Of Thrones fans are counting down the days to the final season of the iconic show, HBO decided to entertain them a little bit.
HBO has hidden six replicas of the Iron Throne in different countries around the world. Just like in the show, fans are supposed to vie for those thrones and spread the word of their quest using the hashtag #ForTheThrone on social media.
HBO launched a site called For The Throne, where you can pick up clues, including an hourlong 360-degree live stream of each of the thrones in their various locations.
Five of those live streams have been released so far, the first on March 18, with the last live stream to reveal the sixth throne’s location imminently, given that a countdown timer at the time of writing says we have a week before time is up.

Delighted fans have been posting footage of their discoveries to social media, with the treasure hunt leading to thrones in Sweden, Spain, Brazil, England, and Canada.
The first was uncovered by Alex Bowring and Tom Maullin-Sapey from Oxford, England, who followed the clues to the ancient Puzzlewood woodland in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, said to have inspired J. R. R. Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings.
Sharing images of the two to social media, Sky Atlantic wrote: ‘The children of the forest’s true kings have arrived. #ForTheThrone #ThroneoftheForest.’
Thrones were found in the snowy backdrops of both Canada and Sweden, while another was located on a beach in Spain.
