7 Harry Potter Movies References You Might Have Missed in Fantastic Beasts
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is full of cool characters and exciting plot twists, also, there are a lot of Harry Potter movies and books references and Easter eggs you might have missed.
Nexter.org will show you some of them before the premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindenwald.
#1 Albus Dumbledore

Some of the characters of Fantastic Beasts mention Albus Dumbledore as one of Newt’s professors at Hogwarts. We didn’t see him in the movie, however, people describe Dumbledore as a kind of crazy professor.
In Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindenwald, we will finally meet Dumbledore portrayed by Jude Law.
#2 Leta Lestrange

Leta Lestrange is shown in one of Newt’s photos. He later says that she was once his friend, however, she changed that’s why they haven’t seen each other for years. In the second part, Zoë Kravitz is to portray her, so we’ll have to wait to get to know how she is related to Bellatrix.
#3 The Deathly Hallows symbol

Grindelwald in the form of Percival Graves gives Credence a necklace with the Deathly Hallows symbol “trying to help him.” However, we know for sure that nothing good comes from the symbol and Grindelwald!
#4 The erumpent

The erumpent a large, horned creature that lives in Newt’s suitcase. The erumpents were first mentioned in Deathly Hallows, when Harry, Ron, and Hermione went to Xenophilius Lovegood’s house.
Luna’s dad had an erumpent horn in his house and Hermione advised him to get rid of it as it contains an explosive fluid. Eventually, the horn exploded and destroyed Xenophilius’ house.
#5 The niffler

Newt’s best companion, niffler, is one of the most favorite characters of Fantastic Beasts. Nifflers never appeared in the Harry Potter series of movies, but they are mentioned in Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix books.
Particularly, Hagrid taught about them during his lessons. Also, Lee Jordan is engaging with nifflers in Umbridge’s office.
#6 Newt’s Hufflepuff scarf

Newt Scamander makes his suitcase “Muggle-Worthy,” you might notice black and yellow scarf among his stuff. He also wears it on posters and at the end of the first movie.
#7 The murtlap

Jacob Kowalski discovers in Newt’s a murtlap that escapes and attacks him. In Order of the Phoenix, Hermione takes murtlap essence to treat the wounds on Harry’s hand caused by Umbridge’s spell.
