Many people think that Kate and William met when they were studying at St. Andrews University, but it’s not true, these two know each other from the sixth form of college. They had common acquaintances during their school days at Marlborough College, and they met for the first time in 1998. After graduating, Kate should enter Edinburgh University, but she decided to take a gap year for traveling.

Nevertheless, Kate decided not to join Edinburgh and entered to St. Andrews University (suspiciously close to the announcement that the Prince will be studying in St. Andrews too).

Lord Ivar stated he met James ten years ago and a civil marriage would be a great decision for them, but now that the marriage between the two men is legal, they thought it would be right to get married.

The wedding ceremony was held at a private chapel of the country estate of the 55-year-old Mountbatten, the third son of the Marquess of Milford-Haven, in Devon and had 60 guests (closest friends and relatives) instead of 120 they had previously invited.
