Oprah’s brilliant speech
Oprah Winfrey receives the Cecil B. de Mille Award at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
The celebrity said the speech that will probably be one of the most memorable things at this ceremony.
Commenting the hottest topic of the season, Oprah stated, “For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth to the power of those men. But their time is up.”
Also, she addressed the topic of people of color and all women in general in her truly magnificent speech, ”So I want tonight to express gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault because they, like my mother, had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue.”
Ivanka Trump’s reaction to Oprah’s speech
People astonished by the speech of Winfrey’s speech expect her to take part in a 2020 presidential run.
Despite the fact her words implied the criticism of Trump’s political views, Ivanka Trump, the daughter of the President, has praised Oprah in her Twitter.

This statement evoked quite a big scandal on Twitter and encouraged hundreds of people to write a witty comment.
For instance, a well-known activist against sexual harassment and actress, Alyssa Milano, offered Ivanka to make a donation to Time’s Up:

Why I wear black tonight
Meryl Streep and other actresses pushed the female actors to attend the Golden Globe awards ceremony wearing all black.
Rose McGowan was not happy about it and strongly criticized this idea: “Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @GoldenGlobes in a silent protest.”
“YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You’ll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real change. I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa”, stated actress on her Twitter.
Nevertheless, all actors were wearing black at the Golden Globe awards show except for three actresses, who had their own reasons not to do so.

What Tommy Wiseau wanted to say

James Franco brought on stage Tommy Wiseau and his younger brother, Dave Franco, to accept the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
Tommy Wiseau intended to say something as he was really close to the microphone, but James Franco interrupted him.
It remained a mystery what the director of The Room wanted to say, however, shortly after the ceremony, he revealed it:
“If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live.”
“See The Room, have fun, and enjoy life. The American Dream is alive, and it’s real.”
