Remove Thanos – get ticket!

Just a week left till ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ premiere and fans in Australia went crazy as they finding tickets behind posters!

As a part of a promotion, Marvel hid little present behind posters and one Reddit user, chrischar66, posted a photo of the discovery in Brisbane.

“Do you dare remove Thanos?” the poster reads and seems that now we do.

It turns out the competition is legitimate. Terms and conditions found on the Disney Australia website reveals that there are posters of this kind around Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Hurry up and catch your ticket!

The Dark Knight

One of the legendary marketing campaigns was dedicated to the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman series.

There were a fake campaign for the politician Harvey Dent, a fake newspaper called The Gotham Times and even cakes with cellphones baked into them that fans could later use to ring up the Joker.

Fans also left Joker playing cards with “HA HA” in comic book stores.

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games also had massive online campaign featuring an entire online world, with ways to let the most dedicated fans unlock sneak peeks and exclusive content.

On top of that, they got a bunch of artists to participate in the soundtrack that were already a hit with their core audience, including Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and Birdy.

Other less-conventional strategies included the electronic remix of “The Hanging Tree”, a song from the film’s soundtrack and the release of a line of “Capital Couture” clothing, with a website where they got fans involved with things like the “District Style Challenge.”

The Deadpool

The Deadpool is famous for its marketing campaign that was executed beautifully in 2017.

Carrie

The remarkable classic horror film Carrie came out in 2013 and the marketing campaign went viral so quickly.

Using a team of actors and special effects experts, the marketers crafted a fake telekinetic event in a New York City coffee shop, featuring a stunt man’s “levitation” and the “spontaneous” movement of tables, chairs, pictures and books.

The end result was played out live for a number of unsuspecting patrons.
