‘Dota 2’ was once one of the most popular video games and most viewed live streams. Unfortunately, everything has its end and ‘Dota 2’ isn’t an exception.

So, the question arises: what video games are to replace ‘Dota 2’?

Fortnite – new trend

Fortnite was launched in July of 2017 and wasn’t really popular in the early days of the release.

stated that Fortnite had a slow start, but over the last couple months, it became one of top video game searched on the website.

The biggest search increase dated March 15, after Drake played the game live on Twitch and broke the record for most-viewed stream.

To tell in precise numbers, it caused searches on to increase 824% above average.

Previously, the most common inquiries related to the particular video games were “Overwatch“, “Team Fortress 2”, “Minecraft“ and “Pokemon.”

However, no one mentioned ‘Dota 2’ in any of the PornHub insights beginning from the end of 2017.

Fortnite became popular not only across US but all over the world too. Top 5 countries looking for Fortnite Battle Royale are Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, and Denmark.

Sea of Thieves

The game was launched on 20 March 2018 and received not really good critic reviews due to the number of bags and issues.

However, ‘Sea of Thieves’ also has a lot of positive comments and is expected to beat all the leading video games of the year. But first, they have to fix all the bags…
