Couch potato style

Stay in bed and try to have a healthy sleep cycle. It’s important for you to rest a lot and let your body get in shape again.

We should remember that we’re getting better while we’re sleeping, that’s why it’s an essential part of your plan to get 8-hour healthy sleep.

Stay hydrated

The illness can cause dehydration, thus you have to keep consuming enough of fluids. For instance, it can be simply water. Also, you can choose among fruit juices and chicken soup.

To make it better, try out the herbal tea with honey, which can help to reduce the pain in a sore throat.

Obviously, you are to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages as it won’t do anything good for you during the treatment.

Air the room

Air your room as many times as you can. As the matter of fact, moist air helps ease nasal congestion and sore throat pain.

You can use a  vaporizer for this purpose, or just sit in a steamy shower and breathe moist air for a while.

Nose case

There are several ways to ease the nasal stuffiness. You can buy a neti pot and pour salt water into one nostril and let it run out the other, easing the nasal congestion.

Blowing your nose can be a good option too. Please remember that blowing the nose too hard can harm the tubes of your ears.

Go gargle

Take salt water (a teaspoon of salt dissolved in boiled water) and gargle: it’ll ease the pain and let you rest a bit.

Gargle can also be made with honey and apple cider vinegar, add lemon juice in hot water.

Repeat this approximately 4 times a day and you’ll feel like a brave new person!

Some people use not only a warm compress but a cold as well. Actually, you can do both.
