The 70th Emmy Awards ceremony took place on September 17, 2018. See on Nexter.org the list of winner and best moments!
Glenn Weiss proposes to his girlfriend on stage
SHE SAID YES! ? Watch the evening's most heartwarming moment. #Emmys

Glenn Weiss got the Emmy in Directing a Variety Special at the Oscars this year. When he came up on stage, he thanked his girlfriend for her support, and said, “The reason I don’t like calling you my girlfriend is because I want you to be my wife.”
Then Weiss pulled out his late mother’s ring and got on one knee. And she said “YES!”
Teddy Perkins from ‘Atlanta’ was at the Emmys
Bill Hader won best lead actor in a comedy series over Donald Glover (Atlanta’s creator, writer, co-director, and creator). The camera switched to another nominee and instead of Glover we saw Teddy Perkins! And he hugged Bill Hader after he won over Donald Glover!
To clarify, Teddy Perkins is a character from one of Atlanta’s episodes that has parallels to Michael Jackson. And he’s creepy as hell!
However, a few minutes later we again see Donald Glover on his seat! What a miracle!
It remains unclear whether it was Glover himself portraying Teddy or one of the members of the TV-show.
Nod to Colin Kaepernick
Blackish star Jenifer Lewis’s ensemble was a nod to Colin Kaepernick.
The unsigned quarterback who took a knee during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality is the star of Nike’s new campaign.
He shared an image on his Twitter Monday of a close-up of his face with the words: “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” Nike’s Twitter account later retweeted his post.
And while Nike’s decision to feature Kaepernick in its latest campaign was celebrated by many, others were outraged, posting videos and photos on social media of Nike products being cut up, burned, or destroyed.

Betty White took the stage at the Emmys
The actress, 96, has eight Emmy Awards and was honored for her more than 80 years in television.
“Somebody said something the other day about first lady of television, and I took it as a big compliment,” White said. “Then came the punchline, ‘And then I heard her talking to her daughter a little later, and she said, ‘first lady, she’s that old. She was the first one way back.'”
Padma Lakshmi wears the same dress this year
“I’m excited to wear this beautiful @j_mendel gown (again) to #emmys2018 . The artisans’ labor and the gorgeous fabrics deserve to be treasured. Also instead of fretting so much with fittings, I’d rather go to the park with #littlehands ¯\_(ツ)_/¯” says Padma Lakshmi on Twitter.
