MeloManiac: Eminem’s New Album “Kamikaze” Review, Troye Sivan’s “Bloom” + 3 Hot Music Releases of August 2018

1005 gathered all top news about our beloved singers and bands. See what prepared for us this month.

Eminem’s new album “Kamikaze”

Kamikaze is the tenth album of Eminem after Revival. From the first track, The Ringer, that begins the swing that kind of pushes us to what the next songs will be about – Eminem is clearly not happy with the fact that many media did not like his last album, although he himself is to blame for many of his failures.

The album consists of 13 tracks. He managed to dismiss the rappers of the new school – Lil Pump, Lil Xan and Lil Yachty, as well as Tyler, the Creator, Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.
The cross-section theme of the album is spelled out in the lines of Fall – “I’m fucking kamikaze / crashing everything,” everything including himself.

Also, Eminem pleased the fans with the soundtrack for Venom, a new movie starring Tom Hardy. The cover of the album refers to the release of “Licensed to Ill” by Beastie Boys. On another side, you can see that the pilot of the exploding aircraft shows the middle finger. Classic Eminem.

There also a few songs-collaborations with Royce Da 5’9 and Joyner Lucas – Lucky You and Not Alike.

In April, the rapper celebrated 10 years of sobriety – self-belief and Elton John did their thing.

Kanye West ‘XTCY’

The rapper released on August 31 the single ‘XTCY.’ The track was followed by the release of the cover – the drawing of the photo taken on  Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party. Kim Kardashian West, and sister Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian.

The drawing is quite custom and was made by Shadi Atallah, a student artist from London.

Troye Sivan’s new album

Troye Sivan, a South African-born Australian singer, has released an album “Bloom” with ten tracks. “I think my first album was kind of like a coming-of-age album where I felt like I was really finding my feet and kind of figuring out sort of my place in the world a little bit,” Sivan tells Billboard.

“This (new) album felt a lot more like, ‘I’m here now and I kind of get how things work a little bit more’ and it’s me sort of enjoying the kind of fruits of my labor from the first album.”

Metallica’s own whiskey

Metallica to launch their own brand of whiskey ‘Blackened’ and that’s going to be “the next evolution of whiskey”. According to the official website of the whiskey brand, “Blackened is a testament to the creative process, to the hard work and determination required to make something from nothing.

“It’s a monument to the ones who charge into the fray and come out the other side stronger, together. Fueled by decades of creative passion, Blackened is a distillation of the incomparable bond between the band and their community of fans.”

Travis Scott’s Astroworld

Astroworld was dropped by Travis Scott at the very beginning of August and featured 17 tracks. Frank Ocean, Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker, The Weeknd and Migos‘ Quavo joined the rapper in some songs.
