‘I’ll take you to the candy shop’

Billionaire Elon Musk says he is about to start a candy enterprise and he is “super, super serious about it.” Musk’s tweet “I’m starting a candy company and it’s going to be amazing” received over 131,000 likes, and left many amazed.

When asked about the name of his candy, Musk immediately twitted that would be “Cryptocandy”.

Musk, the force behind Tesla and the exploration company SpaceX, also seemed to be challenging fellow billionaire Warren Buffett whose Berkshire Hathaway owns See’s Candy.

In another Twitter string, Musk wrote “I’m going to build a moat & fill it w candy. Warren B will not be able to resist investing! Berkshire Hathaway kryptonite … ”

And also: “Saying you like “moats” is just a nice way of saying you like oligopolies.”

The tweet about opening a candy company racked up more than 138,000 likes.

However, not everyone on Twitter was so happy about a new hype Musk use to cover his companies’ problems connected with Q1 report and later interviews with experts and analytics, which Musk has called ‘boring’. As Nexter.org wrote before, the Tesla market prices dropped 7%.

Despite a huge popularity of the new-born idea, many were skeptical about the new venture.
