The real Annabelle doll looks nothing like the movie one, it is just an ordinary, rag doll. She was acquired by a woman, who then gave it to her adult daughter Donna. Sometime later, she started to notice weird things happening to the doll, like she changed the pose she was sitting in, suddenly appeared in different rooms, they even found some blood drops on the doll once.

According to the medium, there was a girl named Annabel, who was seven years old, but she died, and her spirit just wanted to stay with Donna. Although, later on, Warrens found out about this and reported that it was really an evil spirit in the doll, not a little girl. They took the doll, and put it in a glass case, with the inscription “Do not open.”

In this horror movie, Charles Lee Ray, a serial killer practicing voodoo gets killed in a toy store. His soul moves to the nearest doll, and the doll then falls into the hands of the 6-year-old boy Andy. The doll is called Chucky, and he starts to kill, and the soul of the murderer, imprisoned in it, tries to take possession of Andy’s body.

It sounds crazy, but Chucky had a prototype – a real doll named Robert. In 1903, 3-year-old Robert Eugene Otto received a doll from a servant from the Bahamas. Otto named the doll in honor of himself, and since then they have been inseparable. Soon after, Otto’s parents began to hear two voices coming from the boy’s bedroom. One voice belonged to Otto, the other one – not. Every time parents entered the room, everything seemed normal.

In the mid-1970s, Otto and his wife died, and new tenants moved to the house where Robert stayed. They claim that from time to time they hear a giggle, and the face of the doll has changed a lot. In 1994, Robert was given to the museum of Key West and placed under a glass case, where it can be seen today.
