Based on Stephen King’s stories
Unlike others movie adaptations of Stephen King novels, “Castle Rock” is not a filming of a specific King’s work. It’s rather an eerie combination of other King’s most familiar stories. However, the king of horror won’t be personally engaged in writing a script.
He entrusted the plot to the executive producer of the project – J. J. Abrams. It was announced in February 2017 on Stephen King’s Twitter page. Production is headed by Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

You might see Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd as Pennywise from another movie based on Stephen King’s story – It. Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd also appeared in Deadpool 2, but his role was, how to say (spoiler alert!)…. very short as he got killed within few minutes as the rest of the Deadpool’s team except for Domino.
Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd is written as “The Kid” in the cast. There are also more familiar faces such as Sissy Spacek also known as the scream queen from the first Carrie film that made its debut in 1976.
“Epic saga of darkness and light”
Castle Rock will “combine the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.”
The main character is Henry Deaver (André Holland), a death-row attorney who hasn’t returned to his hometown since the townspeople turned on him after an accident killed his father and left him the sole suspect.

Mysterious Castle Rock
All Hulu serial’s characters connected with the mysterious Castle Rock town, which appears in many works of the author. It was the hometown of Andy Dufresne, the protagonist of The Shawshank Redemption and the setting for stories such as The Body (filmed as Stand By Me), The Dead Zone, Cujo and Needful Things.
The inscription under the trailer reads, “In answer to a mysterious phone call from Shawshank, Henry Deaver returns home to #CastleRock.” Are you ready to be afraid? If so, don’t miss new horror TV-series by Hulu featuring Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd and based on the stories of Stephen King.
