It’s North America’s largest street festival that is held since the late 1960s. It’s celebrated for about 3 weeks each year and is devoted to the cultural exchange, cuisine, music and heritage.

This time, the festival celebrates 52 years since the very first time people decided to devote a holiday to Caribbean culture and tradition.

The whole parade consists of colourful costumes, positive emotions, bright makeup and cheerful people.

“We get the making of the costumes as far as sewing the material done outside, and then they’re sent to us and we work on geming them, feathering the backpacks,” said one of the visitors.

“I can’t believe how much colour there is. It just makes you so happy and bubbly and excited,” said another.
