Captain America, Thor + 5 Other Marvel Superheroes Who Are Not As Good As We Think

192

The majority of people are used to think that Marvel superheroes are inherently good and they don’t do bad things and even if they do it’s for a much better cause. But is it? Are they really that good? We don’t think so.

Nexter.org prepared you a list of 7 Marvel hypocrites.

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel lacks personal stability, has a drinking problem and also shot a dog. Wait, what? Yes, she liked to drink a lot and talk about how miserable she was. One day she got sloshed and hit Lockjaw, the Inhumans’ dog, with energy projection. Also, during Civil War II, she used a tactic that led to deaths of War Machine and Bruce Banner.

Captain America

Our champion of liberty has been a werewolf, and also decapitated a man with his shield. He used to be a Hydra operative who had been playing the good guy for 70 years. Yes, it was because he couldn’t control the reality-altering powers but is this a good excuse for a superhero? Moreover, once he watched Richard Nixon (probably) shoot himself in the head.

Black Widow

Natasha Romanov used to be a Soviet secret agent who then joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and she was always there when the team thought there is a traitor among them.

Fast forward to Mark Millar’s The Ultimates. His take on Black Widow got especially wicked when she destroyed years of Benedict Arnold fake-outs and actually turned on the team. Her deceit led to the horrible deaths of Hawkeye’s wife and kids.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye was tied up and interrogated by a group of enemy soldiers because he with his unusual accuracy turned into a living weapon. But nobody expected that he will pry off his own fingernails and use them to kill everyone in the most disturbing and nauseating deaths in the history of Marvel.

Iron Man

Source: Marvel

Iron Man kills pretty much everyone who gets in his way, from big, strong, bad guys to their pretty much harmless henchmen with his possibly most effective stun gun ever.

Moreover, in Captain America: Civil War he decided to try a different, better, more transparent approach to superheroism. How? Well, he blackmailed a child, dragged him across international borders, and forced him to fight powerful, dangerous guys under threat of revealing his identity. Cool!

Thor

Source: Marvel

First of all, he has big anger issues which instantly make him much less attractive when you see what he can do. And of course, the fact that he abandons his friends when they need him all the time. He could’ve solved the majority of problems in the MCU solo movie with a couple of lightning smackdowns but for some reason, he prefers to go away, chill and then come back later.

Hulk

Source: Marvel

Sooo, it is not a surprise that Hulk has anger issues but usually, people think that he is a victim of circumstances but is he really? Actually, he loves to set his anger free and fly off the handle.

Also, how about that time when he put on blackface to impersonate a professional athlete?

Which one surprised you the most?
