“This is a terrible act of violence that has already, I’m advised, taken the lives of four people,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison told reporters in London.
“Our advice is that this is not a terrorist act. There is nothing to suggest that that is the case whatsoever.”

A gunman is A 45-year-old man who is now in custody after the incident. He shot a gun at the Palms Hotel in the Darwin suburb of Woolner in the evening.

The Royal Darwin Hospital took 2 injured people in stable condition.

There were 5 crime scenes across Darwin, but the authorities don’t think it was planned by terrorists. “This is never an event you want to respond to…this has been an incredibly difficult night,” NT Chief Minister stated.
