- The boat sank due to intense winds gusts and thunderstorms of more than 60 mph. “The winds were behind what is called a ‘gust front,’” said weather blogger Mike Smith. “There were also intense winds with the heavy rain when it arrived which would have decreased visibility to very low values.”
- 11 are now confirmed dead after a duck boat sank on Table Rock Lake near Branson;
- There were 31 passengers on the boat at the moment of the accident;
- 7 people have been transported to the hospital, 2 among them were in critical condition;
- Some of the dead passengers were children;
- Five passengers still remain missing, dive teams are currently looking for them;

The captain of another duck boat also commented on the situation, “I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the captain did his best. All of our hearts are completely broken right now.”
